Abstract:

The study attempts to clarify the changes of vegetablesí marketing network and effect on farmersí income after the construction of Jamuna Bridge in the northern part of Bangladesh in 1998. Based on farmer categories, the study has compared the factors such as selling quantities, different channels and markets, marketing costs and selling prices and net margin and net incomes received by the farmers. The study shows that differences in farmersí incomes and market choosing are greatly determined by farmersí classification.
