The study was a descriptive survey designed to identify the problems Special Education Needs
(SEN) students face when carrying out agricultural projects in secondary schools in Botswana. Closed and
open-ended instruments were used to collect data from the study populations. The findings showed that SEN
students and agriculture teachers respectively face many challenges and problems in teaching and participating
in agricultural projects. The study also described the demographic characteristics of the respondents, brought
into focus some suggestions SEN students made to education authorities that will enhance their participation
in agriculture projects, and identified the challenges agriculture teachers face in teaching SEN students in junior
secondary schools. Based on the findings the researchers made a number of recommendations.
