Ayi Kwei Armah is an African writer who is preoccupied with the question of Africa's future in his
novels. In this paper, we shall posit that in his two novels, Osiris Rising and KMT, The House of Knowledge,
he articulates the view that the return of the diasporic Africans to the continent is a crucial step in discovering
their African identity. We shall further establish that Armah sees the reconnection and identification as prerequisite
ingredients for the regeneration and restoration of the African continent.
