Socio-economic, information of all the 150 victims residing in these two colonies were collected by the help of a pre tested interview schedule .The measurement of height and weight was recorded by stranded instruments. The weight and height of all the victims in the age group of 20 to 80 years were observed to be less than the w eight and heights of reference Indian man and woman. Body Mass Index (BMI) revealed that all most all the victims suffered from moderate to severe grades of malnutrition. The socio-economic variables do not have much influence on the anthropometric measurements and prevalence of malnutrition.
