The present study seeks to report the different types of violence Iranian and Indian violence victims have
experienced during their life. For this purpose, 400 Iranian and Indian women were randomly selected from Iran
and India. Domestic violence questionnaire was implemented to find out the type of violence experienced by the
selected participants. After data collection, Contingency coefficient analysis was used to find out the relationship
between country and selected parameters. Results indicated that most of the violence reported was sexual violence
followed by physical abuse, however, physical abuse and emotional abuse was found to be more in Iranian victims
and verbaland financial violence was found to be more among Indian victims. Majority of the respondents were
sufferers of violence more than 3 years. Regarding the highest amount of violence, partner involvement was
reported to be the first, which was more in Ira.
