This study describes a computer simulation approach to utilization of an Electric Field Sensitive
(EFS) effect for vibration control of a viscous damped isolation system. The EFS effect was derived from a
liquid whose properties were similar to those of a Bingham plastic with intensities of the applied electric field
determining the fluidity constant and the yield stress. Vibration attenuation was due essentially to modulation
of resistance to motion imparted to the liquid by subjecting it to a transverse electric field. Our results indicate
that a significant degree of control is achievable for a wide range of the sprung mass.
