Bioremediation methods are a promising way of dealing with soil and subsoil contamination by organic substances. This biodegradation process is supported by micro-organisms which use the organic carbon from the pollutants as energy source and cells building blocks. There are several advantages of the implementation of such methods but mainly they have to do with the lack of interference with the ecology of the ecosystem. This study presents the use of technique in numerous ways such as olive oil industry and dairy industry. Although the use of bioremediation technique is not innovative in food industry and microbiology. The use of herbicides, pesticides and contaminated chemicals are producing pollutant compounds in ecosystem which is effecting the environment. Bioremediation method is very constructive method to converted contaminated compounds into non contaminated compounds.
Key words: Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), bioremediation, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), microorganisms, wastewater, ,
