Modeling and Simulation on Error Sources of the Designating System for Fully Automatic Carrier Landing

Abstract
The photoelectric/radar designating system is an important part of the fully automatic carrier landing system for carrier aircrafts. The accuracy of the photoelectric/radar designating system has a certain impact on the landing accuracy of the carrier aircrafts under the guidance of the fully automatic landing system. This study analyzes the types and sources of the error which affects the accuracy of the photoelectric/radar designating system. By numerical simulation and computation, the impact on the final landing error caused by the photoelectric/radar designating system is analyzed.
