Abstract
In order to address the global challenges of today, researchers can no longer work in isolation. They must collaborate in cost-effective ways to enable them achieve more together. This project aims at designing an infrastructure in Ghana to support a Research and Educational Network (REN) linking two local universities. Research and Educational Networks are physical high speed telecommunications networks designed to promote educational and research purposes. REN is considered an essential infrastructure for the advancement of research and education and exist in most developed countries.
